Roasted Chickpeas


  • 400g can of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: a sprig of rosemary for garnish


  1. Preheat oven to 200°C.
  2. Dry the chickpeas thoroughly with a clean kitchen towel. Removing as much moisture as possible helps them get crispy.
  3. Toss chickpeas with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, and salt in a bowl.
  4. Spread chickpeas on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  5. Roast for 20-25 minutes, shaking the pan or stirring halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  6. Cool slightly and garnish with rosemary if desired.
